Far-out Flexibility: Day 5 Straddle Stretch
Today’s post focuses on FAR-OUT flexibility with the straddle stretch to open your hips and lengthen your inner thighs…
The Straddle Stretch
The Benefits:
The seated straddle will provide a great stretch through your hamstrings, inner thighs, torso, shoulders, back, calves and feet. Since each person’s body and level of flexibility is different, your straddle stretch will improve with practice and open your hips.
How to:
Sit on the floor in a straddle position. Try to open your legs as wide as needed to feel a stretch in your inner thighs.
In the straddle position, walk your hands forward as far as you can, while hinging at the hips and keeping your back straight. Hold for 5-10 breaths at your comfort level.
